Please feel free to leave as many comments as you can think of to keep this thing rolling along. As the weeks progress, the events and ideas listed below will no doubt be given much more flesh and begin to take more shape.

A. UPCOMING EVENTS TO PLAN and PLUG:

1. Pub Chat in November with James Kingsley. Up for discussion: what projects can we work on for short term / advent? What is going on in our own spaces, venues / galleries etc.

2. "ART OF REDEMPTION" PHASE 2 - take an afternoon with James Nesbitt and Bev Taylor to finish up your contribution to the art project we started at the conference. Probably a Saturday afternoon in November. Contact jandrnesbitt@hotmail.com

3. Coffee house at All Saints Nov 12

4. Film Nights with Christine Neufeld
OK this didn't come up at the conference, but it would have if I weren't so busy taking notes! Wouldn't it be fun to see some challenging flicks and ponder creative revelations of truth tucked within? "On a Clear Day", "My Big Fat Jewish Seder", "Million Dollar Hotel",… contact Christine {dot } neufeld (at} mail.com if you're interested (BYOpopcorn!)

B. IDEAS FOR THE COMING YEAR

1. Do Worship exchange
An exchange of worship leader / planners and music teams between congregations was suggested by Richard Motchman (EBC)
-Richard will gather a list of interested churches / worship leaders?, possibly arrange a gathering / meeting of leaders to discuss this idea.
- People who are interested can contact Richard at 388-0197 or email him at motchman(at} telus "dot" net

2. Find some Gallery Space
- Jaqueline van Voorst 360-0697 or flamingsheila {at} hotmail {d{ot} com has potential access to gallery space.
- Christ Church cathedral is also exploring more permanent exhibition / meditation space in new Jerusalem Chapel. Contact Logan McMenamie (dean) at the Cathedral

3. Develop Contact List

4. Gather "Creative SWAT TEAMS " to visit groups looking for into etc.
-Provide a resource of names, areas of "creative dabblings", contact info
- Interested artists need to let us know if its OK to share their info
- Best thing is to post requests for artists on www.poasis.blogspot.com
- Interest in displaying work at conferences. Patti Bey 475-6726 may know of a conference coming up that would invite artists to display their work

5. Collaborate More
People would like to see more hands on collaborative projects. Could this group support that?
- *Art of redemption project –James Nesbitt will host finishing project
- Potential for "SWAT" team to host art projects in various congregations – practically speking, this needs to come as request from other communities unless someone is already really passionate in pursuing opportunities
- Michael Pountney noted potential complications with children's art projects and co-operation
- Jenny Hainsworth mentioned that Spiral Café has done gallery shows for children…possiblilities for sale, real exposure

6. More Multi-Media
Michael McNee and others are wondering about Art events with "multi media" – visual art, music, spoken words similar to last year's Dust and Light

7. More "Outreach"
Some are interested in more directed "outreach" - May not be an approach that appeals to whole group

8. Poasis as Umbrella
It was suggested that Poasis may consider acting as an umbrella under which artists submit as a group to public /community wide art events…
-Community connection / outreach
-Better locations / exposure if we submit as group?
-Prob – hard to do with diverse group of artists / writers. May need to use subgroups
- Email contact lists
- People to email Christine if OK to share email addresses: **1 week post conference only 2 people have done this!
- Suggest *use "poasis" in subject heading to get noticed
- Checking www.poasis.blogspot.com more reliable than email lists!
