Randy Hein and the Place Community host keynote speakers Jamie Howison, and Gord Johnson from Winnipeg's St. Benedict's Table who plan to make the case for immersing (or re-immersing) the church in its narratives by using both word and symbol.
Also: Stories of the local intersection of gospel+art with Ron Cole (Weary Pilgrim) and Ernest Morrow (UVic Anglican Chaplaincy).

Saanich Community Church hosts the conference's annual evening of live music, poetry and this year's art show. This year's show is promising a plethora of performances (poetic, musical) over a backdrop of local visual art, sculpture and more! The event gets underway promptly at at 7pm with performances right off the top - so if you're not a full-conference-registrant, make sure to show up early for the doors.

Ernest Morrow: Contemplative Prayer Workshop: Launching off the morning's introduction, this is a more in depth exploration of the Christian tradition of contemplative prayer with an eye to reclaiming this scriptually based and classical Christian spiritual practice on our 21st century journeys to live the Gospel.

Gord Johnson: "Developing More Contemplative and Prayerful Music for Worship". A Songwriters workshop touching on how music and lyrics relate to each other, suggstions for kickstarting a tune, and uniqueness of worship music with a focus on a more contemplative style.
